Last Post Of 2008!!

Wow, I can't believe that 2008 is almost over. I've had such a good year and its just gone by way too fast! I wonder if 2009 will be as good. I hope so.

Today I am going to Beauty And The Beast at the Stanley. Two of my cousins already went and they said it was really good so I can't wait to see it! Plus, I LOVE Beauty And The Beast its one of my favorite musicals.

Later today I'm going to Esther's houses for a New Year's party and sleep over. That should be fun too. For some reason I really don't know what to write!!! So this is going to be a short blog.

Happy New Years!!!

Christmas!!!

Hey All! I hope you had a grand Christmas! Mine was awesome!!! On Christmas morning we got up and opened presents. We didn't go to Church because the Christmas Eve service the night before had been cancelled because of the snow so we thought Church would be cancelled too that day. It felt kind of weird not going at all!

After opening presents we ate breakfast which is always cinnamon buns. Oh by the way, one of my gifts was a new sleeping bag which I really needed! I had one but it was my cousin's and she needed it back. But my new one is soo much nicer than my old one. For one thing, its actually new lol.

In the afternoon, my mom had a nap and my sister and I watched some episodes of The Waltons. We also phoned our Grandma and our Grandparents as well as our Grandpa who lives on the Island.

We went to my Aunt/Uncle/Cousin/Grandparent's house for dinner. My Aunt cooked dinner and it was really good. I opened some presents there too. After dinner (which was a buffet) my cousins, sister and I went sledding in the backyard (except my youngest cousin who was asleep!) That was super fun but unfortunatly we had to leave before we tried our our jump.

I really enjoyed Christmas although I think I'm actually coming down with some kind of cold! Yesterday, my sister and I went sledding which was also lots of fun. It rained last night and is still raining now so I'm glad I went.

Well I'd better go.

Getting Ready For Christmas...

Yesterday, my dad and I went to get a Christmas tree. I know its LATE - but my family always gets one no earlier than the week before Christmas so..we're kind of on time for us. lol. We got a Douglas Fir. We usually get a differant kind but they didn't have it at the place we went. Oh, a tip if you get a real tree for Christmas - they are about fifteen dollors cheaper if you go on the 20th of December or later!

I have also finished all of my Christmas shopping - yesterday as well. So now I'm pretty much prepared for Christmas. I'm actually not that excited this year, I don't know why. It seems sort of weird to think that Christmas is almost three days away!!!

Oh, and we got SNOW!!! We got it on, like Wednesday and it just stayed for a couple days and today it finally snowed again. My mom and I walked to church and my sister and my dad stayed home. After, we walked to The White Spot. I got a Legandary. I also tried their Sweet Potato Fries.

On Thursday my school had a Christmas Party that was SO MUCH FUN!!! Students (and teachers) were allowed to perform - I sang Silent Night. I was really nervous about it but it turned out great and everyone loved it.

My sister and I have been asked to budgiesit (hehe, ya like my word?) while our friends are way for the holidays. They have been here two days and all they have been doing is eating, sleeping, drinking and singing! lol..I guess thats what birds do.

Oh, I really, really, really want a cat for Christmas!!! I've wanted one since I was little but my dad doesn't like them. My mom and I went into a Pet Shop today and saw the cutest little kitty and I was like "Thats what I want for Christmas" but of course my dad still won't let me get one.

I have a feeling I am going to be busy in the New Year...theatre, piano, 4-H, two dance classes, church, youth group and the girl's club I help out with. Plus, fun and exciting (not!) school!!! lol. I am also on the Yearbook committee and I'm a MAL (member at large) for Student Council.

Ok well I guess thats all the news that I have right now.

Blue Liquid, Family Gatherings and other Crazy Stuff!!

Yesterday, my mom's cousin from Australia and her husband came over, along with all my mom's family. It was lots of fun! It was cool to talk to people from the other side of the world and hear what it is like over there. It was also really nice to see some of my cousins who I hadn't seen in AGES! (actually only a few months! but it seemed like ages). They live only 40 minutes away we just never see each other :(.

Speaking of cousins, (and this is where the blue liquid comes in! lol), I was sitting on this bench in my house with like two ppl in between me and my little cousin who is only two on the end. She had been playing with this squishy green and pink frog which my sixteen year old cousin had also been playing with. Well, she squished it again and poof! The next thing you knew blue liquid covered my shirt and jeans! UGGH!!! It was really annoying. Everyone started laughing and I went and changed. I said like nothing, although I wasn't really mad I was pretty annoyed. I mean why do those things always have to happen to ME of all ppl? We went to the petting Zoo a couple years ago and of course I was the only one who wanted to hold the hamster and of course he promptly bit me!

But, please don't get me wrong cousins I still LOVE you guys to pieces! Same with all the other family members. I'm not mad at all. It was just a weird, and somewhat annoying experience!

Facts About Australia (that I learned from my first cousin-once-removed!):
-In Australia, highschool starts in grade 7! So if I lived there I would be in year 3 of highschool.
-Their bills are differant shapes and are made of plastic.
-They don't have pennies! When I asked them why they said that it was too much work to count a bunch of pennies they just round. i.e..if something costs $1.99 you pay $2.00 or of its $ 1.97 you pay $ 1.95 and so on!!
-They have a fifty cent piece
-They have Christmas and New Years in the Summer!
-Their big sports are Rugby Union, Rugby League, and something else...I can't remember lol.

Interesting stuff eh?

It kind of makes me want to visit. It sounds soo cool. I also want to go back to Manitoba. Oh and I'd love to go to New York, Italy, or Greece too =)

Oh and guess what? I've learned all of my lines for Beauty And The Beast! I've only had my script for just over a week and I have 51 lines! Yay, finally! I've been waiting soo long to get a part with lines!! I'm really excited because I thought Cogsworth would only have like 10 or 20 lines since we're doing the Junior Show. Its not the biggest part but I'm still really happy. Now I just have to practice more to get it more English Gentleman like and stuff.

Bye!

Theatre

Today I had theatre 'cause it was Friday! Yay! We're doing Beauty And The Beast and its so much fun. I'm Cogsworth. I've wanted to do this show for like four years and guess who I wanted to be? Cogsworth! Wow, amazing, maybe dreams really do come true! (well, occasionally).

Cogsworth is actually a really fun character to be. Although sometimes I wish that I'm Mrs. Potts or Belle, in the end I'm always glad I'm good old Cogsy. On my off-cast I am a plate as well as a man in the village (yes man!)

Anyway I'd better go.

Hello People!

Hi (whoever is reading this!) I don't really no what to say..lol..which is highly unusal for me as I have a huge appetite for words! Well, I've never done a blog before so maybe that would be why. Hmm..all I've been doing lately is science, math and practicing lines for Beauty And The Beast. I've also been playing piano alot because I'm doing an exam in January! Yay! (finally!) I've been playing piano for almost seven years and I'm doing my grade 1 exam (kind of sad, I know). Anyway, thats all of now.

TTYL!!!
